April Library Haul

I picked up some new books from the library and I’m pretty happy that I found these especially because my town’s library isn’t the most impressive.

Let me know in the comments down below some of your most recent library picks!!

This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab (#1)

The first in a duology, this is a very popular and hyped duology by a well known and popular author. Victoria Schwab, aka V.E. Schwab is also known for her other books such as the Darker Shades of Magic series and Vicious. So with this much hype surrounding her and her stories, I expect to enjoy this book and her others as well.

The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco (#1)

Another series that I’ve heard wonderful stuff about. I don’t all that much about it expect that the protagonist is a POC (I think Filipino but don’t quote me on that), they are a morally grey/villain protagonist and necromancy is involved. So I’m interested to see in how all of that is portrayed. I’m also always here for fantasy written by WOC. This is the first in a trilogy.

Under a Painted Sky by Stacey Lee

I’m still reading this one so I renewed it while I was at the library. This is a YA Historical Fiction & Western about two girls who head for the California Gold Rush disguised as boys. Both MCs are WOC (One is Chinese and the other is Black).

Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor (#1)

Much like Victoria Schwab, Laini Taylor is also hyped up. While I do already own the Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy, I decided I should probably start by reading Strange the Dreamer first for some reason. The sequel, Muse of Nightmares is also being released this year, so maybe if I read this one I’ll be able to read that!
