Top Ten Tuesday – Blue-ish Books

This is another Top Ten Tuesday post, which is created by That Artsy Reader Girl. Click the image down below if you want to find out more about this group and join!!

This week’s TTT theme is “Books with My Favorite Color on the Cover or in the Title”. I love all colors for sure and can appreciate every shade of color out there but I think I’ve always loved the color blue the most. So here some of books with various blues on the covers or in the title that I’ve read or want to read.

out of the blue

This has some blue in it at the bottom half of the cover. But the synopsis itself really interests me with fallen angels in Edinburgh, a f/f romance, and a Sri Lankan MC.

wintersong

I’ve already read this one and I enjoyed it so much. It’s based off of the movie Labyrinth (the LI is very David Bowie-eqsue lol) *dance magic dance* with also some hints of the Hades & Persephone myth.  I know a lot of people for some reason didn’t like the main charater, Liesl, but I honestly LOVED HER. Anyways, I love how the light blue is used here. Feels very icy and winter-y.

summer bird blue

This cover is so beautiful. Much like Starfish, Akemi Dawn Bowman’s other book with a similarly themed cover.

the vacationers

The sea! I love this light ocean blue color. Also I really need to read this book since it was on so many “beach reads” whenever it was published.

stranger in a strange land

I have to say that this is probably one of my favorite covers of all time. I have no idea why I’m so attached to this cover. But the blues in this are so otherworldly, much like the story itself.

our dark duet

The use of blue here as the night sky is stunning. I seriously need to get around to this one as soon as I finish This Savage Song.

the wicked deep

A much darker blue, but with a much more haunting presence. This book is about witches, specifically witches during the Salem Witch Trials that come back for some revenge. I can’t wait to read this!

ramona blue

Not entirely blue but it still also has blue in the title. The story itself I’m pretty excited to read about since it’s about a girl with blue hair who is questioning her sexuality, which is a topic I haven’t really read about in YA yet.

wild blue wonder

Blueberries are amazing and so is this cover, with its many shades of blue. This story takes place in Maine at a summer camp and I also believe the protagonist wants to be a marine biologist, which was one of the things I wanted to be when I was a kid.

words in deep blue

Another one with various shades of blue in it. I also love the calligraphy used in the title. This also features a bookstore and one of the prompts in the POPSUGAR 2018 Reading Challenge is a book that takes place in a library or bookstore, so I’m hoping I can pick this one up to fulfill that.

Thanks for reading! Comment down below with your posts, what your favorite color is, and what you think about my post!
