Fall is almost here and I’m ready for it. Well at least I would be if I lived in a state where there are actual seasons and not just HOT, HOT, slightly cooler, and HOT again. I’m so jealous of y’all who get to see the leaves change colors and wear sweaters.
Anyways here’s my fall TBR, which I’d really consider my November TBR, since I already have an October TBR set in mind.
Far From the Tree by Robin Benway
When I think of fall of course I think of leaves, and this book cover is perfect for that. This is a YA contemporary about adopted families with multiple POVS.
The Light Between Worlds by Laura E. Weymouth
I pre-ordered this from a subscription box so I can’t wait to see what other stuff I get with it. But this book sounds so magical and amazing. This has some Narnia vibes, dealing with two sisters who have to deal with the real world after coming back from a fantasy world.
Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan
Another book I’ve pre-ordered and this one of my most anticipated. I’ve been hearing so many great things about Girls of Paper and Fire. I also got the B&N exclusive cover which apparently is going to look a lot different from this one, so I can’t wait to share that. This is an Asian inspired YA fantasy that features a F/F romance!!
Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng
I can’t wait to finally read a Celeste Ng novel and of course this is one that is highly praised. I don’t know too much about this except that it deals with a missing girl and her family as they deal with the fallout.
Words in Deep Blue by Cath Crowley
Books about working in bookstores and/or libraries are my thing right now and this is also set in Australia, so very cool IMO. I also have the audiobook for this one. I know very little about this book but I believe it has romance and hard-hitting issues in it.
You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone by Rachel Lynn Solomon
That cover just screams FALL to me. With the leaves and rain puddles. This a dual POV YA contemporary about twin sisters who learn that they might have Huntington’s disease. I’ve read a little bit into it and so far I’m enjoying it already.
The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis
This is a priority read of mine. I’ve seen this book praised just about everywhere. This deals with sexual assault, rape culture, etc. It’s about time I got around to reading this.
The Beauty That Remains by Ashley Woodfolk
I love the cover for this one. This is a YA contemporary that deals with grief and also I think has something to do with music. I don’t own this one but it’s available at my library!!
People Like Us by Dana Mele
I just got this for my birthday. I’ve heard people describe this as “Pretty Little Liars but a lot more gay” which immediately sold me.
Sweet Black Waves by Kristina Perez
Here’s one of my favorite fantasy covers from this year besides Girls of Paper and Fire, and my most anticipated. This is a YA retelling of Tristan and Iseult, which is a mythology I’m not at all familiar with but I can’t wait to research it before I go into this one. I believe this going to be either a duology or series.
Thanks for reading!! 🙂
