This weeks topic is Favorite Covers but I decided to make it much less broad and more of a focused list, so I went with YA contemporaries because I’ve been reading a lot of those lately and there’s many of these that are on my TBR.
We Are Okay by Nina LaCour
Possibly my #1 favorite YA contemporary cover of all time. The colors are gorgeous and I’m so glad that the trend of illustrated covers is in full effect. I own this in eBook form but I would love to have a physical copy of this.
The Beauty That Remains by Ashley Woodfolk
Looking at the cover in person, it’s stunning. I don’t know why I really like the shapes and the colors of this one. There is also the paperback edition releasing next year and I love that cover even more!
I am a sucker for illustrated covers y’all!!!
Emergency Contact by Mary H.K. Choi
The color scheme of light and pink and gold works so well and this is such a great minimalist cover that is very effective.
Summer Bird Blue by Akemi Dawn Bowman
Well basically Summer Bird Blue and Starfish’s covers are gorgeous, but since I just got Summer Bird Blue in a physical copy, I love it even more. I’m probably biased because blue is my favorite color and I just love to stare at this cover for a few minutes and then snap back to reality.
Monday’s Not Coming by Tiffany D. Jackson
Another minimalist cover that works so well for me. I love the use of red.
Always Never Yours by Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka
A very cute cover for a cute contemporary! I immediately sought out a physical copy as soon as it was released into the wild.
